Mary H Thompson Scholarship

In May 2015, the SFTA will be awarding two Sioux Falls high school seniors the Mary H. Thompson Tennis Scholarship. The award for 2015 will be $1000 (up from $500) to two deserving seniors who contribute to and serve the game of tennis. If you know of any senior (boy or girl) who would qualify and benefit from a scholarship, please pass along the attached scholarship form and encourage them to apply. The due date is April 17, 2015. Groundbreaking for the Indoor Tennis Center

The Community Indoor Tennis Center held its groundbreaking on Tuesday, September 16th at the Sanford Sports Complex with hundreds of enthusiastic supporters in attendance. New Tennis Director, Kent Helgeson, and Assistant Tennis Director, Jessie Daw, also provided opportunities to introduce themselves to the community with free clinics throughout the day. Read More

Jordre and Fishback Inducted into SD Tennis Hall of Fame

Aberdeen's Terry Jordre and Bob Fishback of Brookings were inducted into the 2014 SD Tennis Hall of Fame Sunday, July 27. The 2014 SD Tennis Achievement Award went to two long-time high school tennis coaches who together served their schools for over 50 years, Gayle Klein of Mitchell High School and Tim Mulhair of Yankton High.
